Vanity In the Forest

For my art class we have to a self-portrait. It's supposed to be done through the process of glazing. That means after drawing the thing out, we hav to paint it in black and white, then glaze it once or twice with burnt sienna, then with a green for the skin tones, and then in a couple of stages with actual colours. I'm only at the first stage of the burnt sienna.

I also hate the self-portrait thing, so I chose a relatively unflattering picture of myself so I don't have to feel like I'm supposed to be looking pretty. Behold a tree-planting shot. Go figure that I would pick something from that time period. Heh.

Anyway, here's stage one (drawing, if you can even make it out), stage two (black and white), and stage three (first layer of burnt sienna, which is a really bad picture also. Actually, having said that, assume that any picture of a painting I post is poorly done, due to shitty lighting in my basement suite).
